The Craig Bed and Breakfast, Castle Douglas.

The Craig is situated on the outskirts of Castle Douglas. It is a Victorian sandstone villa built in 1898, overlooking the golf course at the rear with views over the countryside beyond.

It is very much a family home and our visitors have remarked that it has a homely atmosphere. The rooms are large and comfortably furnished and each room has private or en-suite facilities.

All bedrooms are on the first floor and each has tea/coffee making facilities, televisions, central heating and back-up heating. Each room has a pack of information leaflets and a map so that visitors can plan their day.

Guests have the use of the dining room which has a large table seating six people. Breakfast is served at times to suit you between 7am and 9am. There is a choice of fruit juice, fruit, yogurt and cereals followed by a traditional Scottish cooked breakfast (order taken the previous evening), tea/coffee and toast. Most diets can be catered for provided I am given a little notice.

I can recommend local hotels and restaurants where you can get excellent evening meals.

There is ample parking for visitor’s cars at the rear of the house and a seating area with awning and a warm place to sit on a summer evening. There is secure storage facilities for bicycles.
